Dr. Dixie Koo is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and Co-director of the Center for Public Policy. Her research interests include substance use, social determinants of health and disease among underserved and disadvantaged populations, violence and victimization, race/ethnicity, immigration and acculturation, and homelessness. She specializes in research design and analysis, intervention programs, program evaluation and assessments. Her years of research experience involved directing large scale multi-year federally funded grants, grant writing, research design, field work, data collection (qualitative and quantitative), data analysis, providing technical reports, and collaborating with community service providers and local and federal agencies.
